Woman Is Accused of Trying to Blow Up Ex-Beau's Stamford Apartment

The suspect is accused of breaking into the apartment, burning some bed linens and turning on the gas stove.

A 52-year-old woman is facing burglary and reckless endangerment charges after she allegedly broke into an ex-boyfriend’s apartment and turned on a gas stove with the hope an explosion would occur when the man lit a cigarette, according to a report.

Ana Ramos, of Merritt Place, Norwalk, was charged with second-degree burglary, first-degree reckless endangerment, threatening and criminal mischief in connection with the incident the occurred shortly after 12 a.m. Wednesday, according to The Advocate.

Police said Ramos was caught by the man’s roommate inside the apartment and when she tried to flee, she ran into the ex-boyfriend outside the apartment and told him she was going to blow up the apartment, according to the report.
