Dec. 14, 1935 — March 11, 2017

On March 11, 2017, Nadine Drader, 81, took a turn for the better and is now playing piano and singing in heaven.

Nadine was born in Bantry, North Dakota, to her proud parents, John and Maude Drader.

Her family moved to Indiana when she was 7 years old. She graduated from New Carlisle (Indiana) High School in 1953 and worked various jobs until retiring from the GEHA in 1995. Upon retirement, Nadine moved from Independence, Missouri, back to South Bend, Indiana, where she was an active member of Community of Christ Church. Nadine served as the congregation’s music director, pianist and vocalist, and was happy to share her love and talent for music with her church community for many years. Nadine’s joy, and gift, for music touched many lives.

She was preceded in life by her brother, Jackie. She leaves her daughters, Wendy and Cindy; her sons, Richard and Charles; and her beloved sister, Grace, here on Earth.

Nadine was a bright light, lived her life to the fullest and will be missed by many friends and loved ones — led by her devoted family, which also includes her four children, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be hosted in early summer, with more information to follow.

Hahn Funeral Home in Mishawaka, Indiana, has been entrusted with handling final arrangements.
