Wanted NH Woman Guilted Into Surrendering: Marshals
The NH Fugitive Task Force said Charlene Doucette saw herself featured as the NH Fugitive of the Week and "did the right thing."
CONCORD, NH -- A New Hampshire woman who saw herself featured as the state's Fugitive of the Week surrendered to police Thursday after feeling "pressured" to do so, according to the New Hampshire Fugitive Task Force. Charlene Doucette, 29, had been wanted for nearly a year for an alleged bail violation in connection with her arrest on a heroin/fentanyl possession charge. She was featured as the task force's Fugitive of the Week last week.
"Once people find out they are on the list of the fugitive task force, they have a choice to make," U.S. Marshal David Cargill said in a statement. "We are glad that Ms. Doucette made the right choice by surrendering."
Doucette turned herself in to Rochester police and she was held at the Strafford County Jail pending an arraignment.
