Huntsville 15-year-old injured at Taco Bell in retaliation shooting

A 15-year-old was shot inside a Taco Bell restaurant in Huntsville late Sunday in what police say was retaliation for a prior shooting.

The suspect, 19-year-old Donovan Keith Little, is charged with attempted murder, Huntsville police said. The 15-year-old victim's identity isn't being released.

Police believe Little shot the boy in retribution for an August 2015 shooting, Lt. Stacy Bates said. The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

In that incident, the 15-year-old allegedly shot Little at a home on the 2500 block of Holmes Avenue, Bates said. The boy was charged with second-degree assault at the time.

Sunday night's shooting at the Taco Bell, 2885 Memorial Parkway N.W., occurred around 8:45 p.m.

Around 9 p.m., Little turned himself in at the Huntsville Police Department.

Little is being held in the Madison County Jail. A booking photograph has not yet been released.
