A man was airlifted to hospital following a "serious medical incident" in Addlestone on Wednesday afternoon (September 13).

The air ambulance landed in Victory Park in order to carry the patient to St George's Hospital in Tooting at around 4.15pm.

An eyewitness said the helicopter "departed from Victory Park following a serious incident locally".

They added: "After much co-ordination between services, and significant time on the ground, the air ambulance departed."

Surrey Police officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics were also in attendance.

A mission report from Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance said the patient was taken to the specialist neurological unit at the hospital.
