Warwick and Carrington moved into the championship game of the District 7 tournament in New Rockford Saturday night with semifinal wins.
Top-seeded Warwick got 32 points from Melvin Langstaff as they topped Midkota, 68-56. Brandon Jackson added 11.
The Mustangs trailed by just five (52-47) entering the fourth quarter, but ran out of steam. Austin Monson had 18 points to lead Midkota.
Taylor Skytland pumped in 24 points and Scott Engelhorn added 20 as Carrington downed Four Winds-Minnewaukan 74-61 in the other semifinal.
The Cardinals led from the get-go.

The host Rockets stayed alive with a 50-44 win over Lakota-Adams-Edmore. Mason Haley's 21 points led the charge as they'll play a region-qualifying game tonight.

Napoleon earned the top seed out of District 6 for the Region 3 tournament in Jamestown with a 78-73 double overtime victory over Linton-Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock in Wishek Saturday night.
The Imperials outscored the Lions 5-0 in the second OT to win the district title as Wade Rath-Wald and Jonah Schwartzenberger teamed for 62 points. Rath-Wald had 32 and Schwartzenberger added 26. The two were key cogs on the football team that won the 9-man title.

Tanner Purintun's 20 points led the Lions.
Strasburg-Zeeland and South Border both are headed for Jamestown, but the Clippers avoided No. 3 LaMoure in the opening round with a 59-54 win for the No. 3 seed.
Chance Kurle popped in 23 points in the win and Mason Kramer added 18.
Michael Jacobson had another nice one for the Mustangs with a 23-point performance.

Hatton-Northwood and Thompson will collide for the District 3 title tonight after both won semifinal showdowns at the Lewey Lee Fieldhouse in Mayville Saturday night.
Hillsboro had no answer for Hatton-Northwood star Mike Paulson, who torched the Burros for 38 points in the Thunder's 74-48 win. They outscored Hillsboro 40-15 in a dominant second half.
John Henry Woodward added 17 points in the win for the Thunder.
Jake Adam had a big night in the second semifinal with 32 points as Thompson got past Griggs County Central, 76-69.
The Cougars were right there all night as Billy Engel poured in 26 points, Brady Rahlf added 19 and Kris Wathne 12.
Dylan Gillett kept Dakota Prairie alive with a 28-point game in loser-out play as the Knights blitzed Central Valley, 72-50. Bryce Messner added 11 in the win.
May-Port-C-G scored the only two points of the fourth quarter to keep its season alive in a ragged 45-44 grinder over Larimore.
Ross Capouch led the Patriots with 16 points, while Larimore got 19 from Todd Elfman.

South Border had four individual champions to lead all teams at the Region 3 meet in LaMoure on Saturday.
The Mustangs piled up 218.5 points to win the team title, followed by Lisbon in second with 190.
Blake Bosch (126 pounds), Brayden Kuntz (138), Drew Dockter (152) and 182-pounder James Thielges earned championships for the Mustangs.
Three Lisbon wrestlers earned titles.
Taylor Busche (106 pounds), Jacob Aberle (113) and Dylan Urbach (132) accounted for the three titles for the Broncos.
Jared Reis at 170 and 220-pounder Andrew Beine accounted for the two Napoleon titles on the day.
Brent Hebl of the host Loboes made it a good day for LaMoure with the victory at 120.
Other winners were Cody Voegeli of Oakes (145), Kindred's Race Heitkamp (160), Jamison Jangula of Ellendale-Edgeley-Kulm at 195 and heavyweight Alex Gross of Linton-Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock.
