Bob Westcott and Cricket Tell the Weather at StarLight Season Finale

An upbeat ending to a wonderful season of music and friends...

Join the Northport Arts Coalition for an evening of celebration. This fabulous co-bill will put the icing on what has been a wonderful season of music. The StarLight Concert Series, which runs from September to May, will go on hiatus for the summer.

Bob Westcott’s career began in the basket-houses of Greenwich Village, and as one of the first members of the Wes Houston Band. He is well revered for his masterful finger-style guitar work and universally resonant songwriting. Bob travelled to UK, Canada, and across the US before settling into the Long Island music scene. He has opened for Tom Paxton and Richie Havens, to name a few.

Cricket Tell the Weather is a string collective built around songwriter and fiddler, Andrea Asprelli. While nestled in traditional bluegrass, they draw inspiration from a range of styles including folk, roots and jazz - Andrea’s honest vocals melding with smooth harmonies. Winners of the 2013 Fresh Grass Award, they have been featured throughout the Northeast and NY metropolitan area.
