Sheboygan man found asleep at wheel while car still running on fifth OWI

SHEBOYGAN - Police found a Sheboygan man asleep at the wheel while his car was still running Sunday near Taylor Drive and East Shelly Court.

According to the complaint, Por Yang, 44, drove his car onto the grass on East Shelly Court. When officers arrived, his headlights were on and his car was still running and in drive.

Yang was slumped over with his seat belt still fastened.

The complaint said Yang consumed 24 bottles of beer in seven hours.

Responding officers could smell the "odor of intoxicant" from one of the windows, which was rolled down, the complaint said, and an officer rubbed his sternum to wake him up. 

Yang's breath test reading was .222. According to the complaint, Yang had four prior convictions for operating while intoxicated.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
