Accused Forrest City, AR ID thief arrested again

MEMPHIS, TN - (WMC-TV) – Forrest City, Arkansas Police Chief Edward Reynolds had to think a second to recall all of the states where he said victims of suspected identity thief Yolanda Drone live.

"Tennessee, Arkansas, Michigan, Ohio," said Reynolds.  "Mississippi, Missouri."

"We're talking at least 128 victims that we've counted," said Reynolds.

The 33 year-old mother of three is accused of using multiple computers inside her rather modest house to run an elaborate scam.  Police said she targeted individuals and several companies using illegally accessed personal information.

"We have other agencies, even on the federal level, assisting us," said Reynolds.

Officers arrested Drone for the second time in a week Thursday after additional victims were identified though financial records, credit cards, and other documents seized from her home.

90 year-old Willie Mae Mathis is Drone's grandmother.  She told us she didn't even know what identity theft was.

"I don't know nothing about what she do," said Mathis.  "What she's accused of doing."

Police anticipate further charges against Drone and could not rule out additional arrests.

"This is something substantial," said Chief Reynolds.

Drone is being held in the St. Francis County Jail on a $150,000 bond.  Meanwhile, police are working to identify and locate each of her alleged victims.
