Join Plato Center HCE to plan new year of programs

The Plato Center Unit for Home and Community Education will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at the Plato Town Hall, 10N924 Rippberger Road.

The hostess are Nancy Haire, Joan Rossi and Joan Ziethen. Come early for refreshments and a "Cheers to a New Year" gathering.

They will have the new yearbooks and there will be a planning party for meetings and Extension lessons. Some of the interesting topics include modern food trends and eggs.

Members of the community are invited to the Extension office in St. Charles to attend the lessons. There will be further publicity when the lessons will take place.

The Plato Center HCE had a holiday gathering at the The Grumpy Goat at the Highlands of Elgin golf course clubhouse. The hostesses were Gina Kelm, Carol Skelton and Muriel Covington. Unit members played games, won prizes and sang songs. We all enjoyed ourselves. Thank you Gina, Carol and Muriel.

The meetings are open to members of Elgin, South Elgin, and the surrounding community of Plato Center. Call Joan at (847) 931-8120 to join. Visit web.extension.illinois.edu/dkk/ for details.
