GEAUGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - A three-year-old girl is dead and another child was taken via Life-Flight to MetroHealth hospital following a two-car crash in Auburn Township on Monday afternoon.

The victim has been identified as Paisley Vanek of Garrettsville.

A good Samaritan raced to the crash scene right after the accident, and was able to pull victims from the wreck, said Assistant Fire Chief Mike Cardaman.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a woman driving a Ford Escape was traveling south on Munn Road and collided with a Honda Accord heading east on Washington Street. A woman was driving the Accord, and was traveling with a female passenger and the two children.

According to the Geauga County Sheriff's Office, the tragic wreck occurred at 3:15 p.m.

Several air bags were deployed in each car during the collision.

Police haven't yet determined the cause, but warned motorists against distracted driving.

Police reported that rain was likely not a factor.
