Tiffani Amber Thiessen Remembers Luke Perry: ‘Our World Has a Hole In It’
Tiffani Amber Thiessen is opening up for the first time about losing her friend and former “90210” flame, Luke Perry.
The actress penned a heartfelt message on Thursday, crediting Perry for making her feel a part of the Fox family despite coming into the series during season 5.
“My heart has been weighing heavy. The loss of a man who started as my co-star but quickly became my friend. He welcomed me on my very first day of #90210 with open arms. A day that was not an easy one for me,” Thiessen began.
She continued, “I was coming in to a show, a family really, that had been together for over 4 years. But this man took me under his wing and made me feel at home. Made me feel like I belonged in his TV family.”
Describing Perry as “the definition of a gentleman,” Thiessen adds he was “sincere, sweet, warm, kind, professional and funny as all heck.”
Concluding her tribute, she turns her attention to address the late TV star, saying, “Luke, our world has a hole in it now that you aren’t here. But heaven definitely gained you as an angel.”
Thiessen is the latest co-star to break their silence on Luke Perry’s death. Earlier today, Jason Priestley said his goodbye to Perry. Fellow “Beverly Hills, 90210” stars Shannen Doherty and Ian Ziering also penned heartfelt messages.
Tiffani Amber Thiessen’s seductive character, Valerie Malone, was introduced to the hit show in 1995.
Luke’s character, Dylan McKay, had a brief relationship with Valerie before figuring out her manipulative ways and working to bring her down.
As The Blast reported, 52-year-old Luke Perry died on Monday after being hospitalized following a stroke which occurred the same day the “90210” reboot was announced.
