I think that Australia is home to a great number of small-cap shares with significant long-term growth potential.

Three small-caps which I think are worth keeping a very close eye on are listed below. Here's why they have caught my eye:

Alderan Resources Ltd (ASX: AL8)

This mineral exploration company has a large holding of claims over the Pruess and San Francisco mining districts in Utah, United States, which is host to three deposits with historic mining and previous drilling programs. The company recently announced the preliminary results of its induced polarisation survey at its Frisco site. According to the release, the survey appears to have uncovered an extremely large, preserved, and mineralised porphyry copper system at its Cactus Canyon prospect.

Bubs Australia Ltd (ASX: BUB)

Bubs is a fledgling goat milk infant formula and baby food company with its sights set firmly on the lucrative China market. The company has signed a number of supply agreements which I believe put it in a great position to compete with a2 Milk Company Ltd (Australia) (ASX: A2M). However, it is unclear at this stage how its products are being received by Chinese consumers. We should learn more next week when I expect the company to release its next quarterly update.

Fastbrick Robotics Ltd (ASX: FBR)

This exciting robotics company has developed a brick-laying robot which can lay 1,000 standard brick equivalents per hour, compared to the 400 bricks that a typical bricklayer lays per day. Essentially this means the robot can accomplish a human bricklayer's weekly output in just two hours. Used at scale this will provide significant benefits for builders. Fastbrick Robotics has US-giant Caterpillar as a strategic partner and recently announced a major memorandum of understanding to build 50,000 new homes in Saudi Arabia.
