Newly crowned album of the year Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves and “I’m Yours” hitmaker Jason Mraz will headline the 25th annual Basilica Block Party on July 12 and 13 outside the Basilica of St. Mary in downtown Minneapolis.

Tickets are $60 (single night) and $110 (both nights) and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Etix. Prices increase to $70 and $125 on June 22, with single-night tickets going up to $75 at the gate. Numerous VIP ticket options are also available; see basilicablockparty.org for details.

Texas native Musgraves first made waves with her 2013 debut, “Same Trailer Different Park” and its breakthrough single, “Follow Your Arrow,” the rare country hit about tolerance. Her second album, 2015’s “Pageant Material,” covered similar territory, but Musgraves took a bold move toward pop music with last year’s “Golden Hour,” one of the most widely acclaimed records of 2018. She sold out St. Paul’s Palace Theatre earlier this month and won four Grammys on Sunday night.

Mraz first hit the charts in 2003 with “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry).” He found even greater success five years later with “I’m Yours,” a worldwide hit that elevated Mraz to an arena-level star. He headlined St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center in August 2009, Minneapolis’ Target Center in September 2012 and the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand in August. His sixth and most recent album, “Know,” continues his collaboration with the female folk-rock band Raising Jane, who also worked on his previous record, “Yes.”

Dawes, Anderson East and Musgraves’ husband, Ruston Kelly, join Musgraves on the main stage on opening night. Hanson, Johnnyswim and Lissie close out the festival with Mraz.

The second stage at Basilica Block Party features Semisonic, the Jayhawks and Yam Haus on night one followed by Chvrches, Metric and Flora Cash on the second night. A to-be-announced lineup of local acts will perform on a third stage.

The Basilica Block Party typically draws more than 25,000 fans each year to 16th Street and Hennepin Avenue. The event began in 1995 as a fundraiser to help pay for structural restoration of the Basilica of St. Mary.
