Liz Hurley wins payout after courier delivering for Amazon ran over her dog

A delivery company working for Amazon has paid actress Liz Hurley’s veterinary bill after one of its drivers ran over her pet Labrador.

Ms Hurley’s two-year-old dog Hector suffered a collapsed lung and broken leg in the incident which took place at Ms Hurley’s Herefordshire estate last December.

The company, employed by Amazon to deliver its parcels, agreed to foot the £2,000 vet bill.

“Devastated”

The 53-year-old’s sister Katie Hurley told the Mail on Sunday the model was “absolutely devastated” when Hector was injured and said the family feared the pet would not survive.

“The vet came and thankfully saved his life, which is miraculous,” she said. “We nearly lost him because of this man’s appalling driving.”

A spokesperson for Amazon said: “This incident does not reflect our high standards for customer obsession and we will ensure that it is resolved to the full satisfaction of the customer.”
