Jim Hudkins, a native of nearby St. Marys, WV, has been named manager of the Marietta Kroger.

Hudkins joined Kroger in 2012 after completing the Company’s Management Development Program. Since then, he has been assistant manager in Kroger stores in Proctorville, Ohio, Parkersburg and Ripley.

“I am grateful for this opportunity to lead a store that is near my home,” said Hudkins. “This has been a goal for me.”

His goal for the store is to enhance the customer shopping experience. “I am impressed with the number of experienced associates at the Marietta store who know our customers,” he said. He added that the customer volume is increasing in the store’s pharmacy.

A native of St. Marys, WV, Hudkins graduated from St. Marys High School and attended Fairmont State University.

He and his wife, Diana, also a graduate of St. Marys High School, live in Waverly. They have three dogs and are members of the Parkersburg Obedience Training Club.
