Days of Our Lives fans are having to adjust to the show currently being out of their weekly rotation due to the Olympics, but the show is scheduled to be back in a big way starting August 22, and the drama in Salem is going to be intense when the show begins its 51st season.

A trailer was released for the show's upcoming fall episodes as the Olympics got under way, and following a jam-packed 50th anniversary celebration last fall that saw everyone in Salem freaking out over the Necktie Murders thanks to Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), the arrival of a new Abigail (Marci Miller) and the departure of Theresa Donovan (Jen Lilley), will only be some of what stirs up the drama this year.

Here's everything to expect in the show's upcoming episodes, according to the trailer:

Theresa & Brady:

While Theresa and Brady (Eric Martsolf) will get good news when they find their missing son Tate, it won't mean that everything is still going to go well for the couple, when Victor (John Aniston) is revealed to be the one who staged the kidnapping and winds up in jail. In addition to his either betraying them or being set up to look like he did, their wedding plans won't go so smoothly either, because...

Xander, Clyde & Orpheus

Three jailed villains will all escape prison and head back to Salem to exact their plans for revenge on their enemies, and their returns will all coincide perfectly with Theresa and Brady's wedding. And while Clyde (James Read), Ben's father, will focus his attentions towards Kate (Lauren Koslow), Orpheus (George DelHoyo) and Xander (Paul Telfer) will crash the wedding, and wreak havoc especially on the Donovan sisters, with Xander threatening to kill Theresa, while Orpheus crashes into the church with Eve (Kassie DePaiva) in his arms and a gun in his hands.

Nicole & Deimos' Relationship

Things will continue getting hot and heavy between Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Deimos (Vincent Irizarry), but their happily ever after is going to be rocked hard when the truth about Chloe's (Nadia Bjorlin) pregnancy gets out.

Kayla Could Die

The head injury she received from Ava months ago will finally take a much more dramatic toll on Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), and her life could be in danger, which will devastate both Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Joey (James Lastovic).

Chad & Jennifer Are Sent Over The Edge

After now learning that Abigail allegedly died in a plane crash, a grieving Chad (Billy Flynn) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) could both be visited by their worst demons and vices as they cope with their loss, until of course, Abigail returns to town with a new face.

Aiden Gets More Powerful

Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove) and Andre's (Thaao Penghlis) plot to make him the DA will be successful, and since he won't be with her romantically anymore, Aiden will set his sights on exposing the truth about Hope's (Kristian Alfonso) crimes.

Days of Our Lives returns Monday Aug. 22 at 1 p.m. on NBC.
