Crash closes part of York Co. roadway

CONEWAGO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police in York County have closed part of roadway following an accident that brought down utility poles.

Northern York County Regional police said East Canal Road (Route 921) will be closed for an extended period of time following the Friday morning crash.

Police said the roadway is closed between Greenbriar Road and Mill Creek Road in Conewago Township, just east of Dover.

Police said the crash caused poles to fall down and block the roadway.

The investigation into the crash continues.

Motorists traveling east can follow Bull Road to Mill Creek Road to get around the closure, and westbound motorists can follow Mill Creek Road to Bull Road.
