Pedestrian Hit And Killed On Manchester Road In Ballwin

BALLWIN, MO β€” A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car in Ballwin, Mo., around 7:30 Tuesday night, officials said. The driver remained at the scene and police said he is cooperating with their investigation.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Manchester and Old Ballwin Roads, a busy intersection in a commercial area of suburban St. Louis.

Authorities identified the man killed as 18-year-old Matthew Carlile of Ellisville, Mo., and said he died after being taken to a nearby hospital. They have not yet determined the cause of the crash, but said their investigation is ongoing.
