It was recently revealed that Savannah Chrisley is dating NBA player Chandler Parsons. 

But her dad Todd didn't exactly take the news well when he found out the 19-year-old reality star and 28-year-old Memphis Grizzlies forward were an item.

During an interview with Access Hollywood, the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch admitted he had a preconceived notion about his daughter's new love interest because of his job.

'He's got a great personality, but he's an NBA player, so that being said,' he began.

Access host Natalie Morales interrupts to ask him what he means by that. 

'I think with NBA, you know, they're ho hounds. My daughter's not going to be on that list.' 

'He's sweet, we have fun, so you give it a go,' Savannah retorted.

Todd hilariously continued: 'They have two phones. You know, side chick, main chick. Let's call it what it is and she needs to know.'

Savannah, who just recently got out of a long-term relationship, joked: 'As long as I'm the main, I'm good.'

To which Todd replied: 'Well that's what you'll never know. That's the problem: the main always thinks they're the main.'

Natalie then asked if Todd has met Chandler and grilled him with the 20 questions.

'I have had multiple conversations with him and he's got... he's got the best personality,' the reality star admitted. 'But it's a new friendship and I don't know why it's newsworthy, but it's a new friendship.

Savannah shared that her dad found out because she posted something on social media.

She then complained she can't do anything and have it be kept private, to which her dad retorted: 'Well then keep it off social media.'

But Savannah argued someone else tweeted her dad with a picture of the two of them together at dinner after the game, so technically it wasn't her. 

Todd then decided to do an internet search on Chandler and instantly decided he's a 'douchebag.'

He admits that he then got to know him and no longer feels that way. 

The pair even took part in a funny exchange on Twitter where Todd tweeted at the NBA star telling him he should practice more and he would send him some knee pads.

However, a source has revealed to TMZ that the two 'are just close friends.'

The insider added that the athlete 'values his relationship' with both Savannah and her father, but 'his focus remains on finishing the NBA season strong and gearing up for a deep run in the playoffs.'

Savannah's new romance comes less than a month after the reality star took to social media to sob over the end of her relationship with ex boyfriend Blaire Hanks.

In January, the reality star took to Facebook Live to have a candid conversation with her fans about her personal life.

During the livestream, the 19-year-old shared that she and her ex ended the two-year relationship on good terms.

It seems Savannah and Blaire ended things amicably.

She said: 'I hope that you will please do me a favor and don't send negative vibes to him. He doesn’t deserve that. We are young. We had our young love. It wasn’t my fault. It wasn’t his fault. There were faults on both sides.' 

For his part, Chandler is known as a ladies man and recently ended a relationship with German model Toni Garrn, who also dated Leonardo DiCaprio for a year back in 2014.
