WEATHER: Another 6 inches of snow expected, winter storm warning ends tonight

Blustery winds, blowing snow could mean hazardous travel conditions

Tuesday’s forecast expects another 6 inches of snow.

Snowfall is expected to be heaviest midmorning, then again during the midafternoon. About five inches are expected during the day. A winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service will continue until 1 a.m. Wednesday, March 2. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. The temperatures for Tuesday are expected to fall between 24 and 19 degrees. A north wind will blow about 18 mph, gusting as hard as 26 mph.

The blustery winds and at times heavy snow will create tough travel conditions. 

The snow will continue Tuesday night, heaviest before 10 p.m. An additional inch or less of snow is possible.

On Wednesday, more snow will be generally confined to the morning. With a 60 percent chance of precipitation, less than an inch is expected. The high temperature is projected as 27 degrees, the low around 17 degrees. It will be another blustery day, with wind gusts around 22 mph. On Wednesday night, there is a 40 percent chance for more snow.
