Arguably the best lineman ever at Fieldcrest, which he helped lead to a 12-1 season and a berth in the 2A semifinals. As an all-HOI offensive lineman, paced the Knights to averages of 45 points and 413 total yards per game. Defensively, had 65 tackles (12½ tackles for losses, 6½ sacks,) for a team that allowed only 8.9 points per game before a 46-33 loss to eventual state champ Eastland Pearl City.

At middle linebacker, he had 85 tackles (31 solos) with four fumble recoveries, an interception and a safety. At quarterback, the honorable mention all-stater threw for 978 yards and 10 TDs. He was also 32-for-35 on extra points, made three of four field goals and averaged 33 yards per punt.
