The Pham food truck 2

Pho from The Pham food truck Friday at the Key City Farmer's Market.

For 14 years, An Pham drove past the farms on MD-26 and dreamed of opening a restaurant. The Vietnamese native settled in Walkersville with his family in 2004 and took a job as a supervisor at MedImmune in Frederick. But still, he longed to create his own space — a business that would eventually become part of the community.

“I wanted to see Walkersville grow,” he said. “So, I dreamed to do this business for years and years with my wife, who is a good cook and a good gardener and brought all this Vietnamese culture with her to America.”

It would be nice if he didn’t park the food truck in the neighborhood where he lives.
