PAINTON, Mo. (AP) -The pilot of ultra-light plane is hospitalized with minor injuries after the plane went down in a southeast Missouri cornfield. KFVS-TV  confirmed reports that the plane crash happened Thursday night in Stoddard County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the unnamed pilot was flying a small experimental plane when it went down near the town of Painton. Troopers believe it may have clipped the tops of corn stalks, causing it to crash.
