Cervelli Real Estate sells properties

Cervelli Real Estate & Property Management recently announced the sale of several Hudson County properties. The first is a mixed-use property in the Greenville section of Jersey City, which is comprised of one commercial space and one residential space, that sold for $265,000.

The next two properties are located in Union City. Cervelli Real Estate assisted in the sale of a 5-unit residential building at 615 4th St. that sold for $625,000, and a mixed-use building with six residential units and one commercial space located at 4540 Bergenline Ave that sold for $1,530,000.

Cervelli sold two more buildings located on Polk Street in Guttenberg. One was a warehouse that is well-suited for redevelopment that sold for $1,080,000, and the other was a 7-unit apartment building that sold for $1,275,000. Cervelli Real Estate & Property Management also announced that it has retained management of the 7-unit building located at 7013 Polk St.

EXIT Realty welcomes new member

EXIT on the Hudson Realty recently announced that Tyra Henry has joined its growing team of real estate sales professionals.

Also, Yesenia Rivera, Yolanda Fonseca and Heivy Gomez-Gonzalez have joined EXIT Golden Realty Group located at 142 Ridge Road, North Arlington. 

EXIT on the Hudson Realty, located at 867 Broadway, Bayonne, is a member of EXIT Realty of New Jersey's network of independently owned and operated brokerages across the region.

HCCC promotes new executive VP and provost

Hudson County Community College President Dr. Chris Reber announced the promotion of Dr. Eric M. Friedman to the newly created position of Executive Vice President and Provost. Dr. Friedman previously served as the College's Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs with oversight for all credit and noncredit programs. His role will now include supervision and support for the College's libraries, online learning, and North Hudson Campus. He is also the Middle States Accreditation Liaison Officer.

Dr. Friedman holds a Bachelor's degree from University of Denver, a Master's degree from New York University, a Ph.D. from The New School for Social Research, and a certificate from the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education at Harvard University. Prior to joining HCCC in 2007, Dr. Friedman taught at Drew University, Passaic County Community College, The New School for Social Research, and The Art Institute of New York City. He also held managerial positions in the hospitality industry, including New York's Russian Tea Room.

HCCC promotes new VP for business and finance

Hudson County Community College has promoted Veronica D'Alessandro Zeichner   to Vice President for Business and Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Ms. D'Alessandro Zeichner joined HCCC in 2015 as Chief Financial Officer. She is responsible for the College's Bursar's and Controller's Offices and Purchasing Department. She also oversees the operational and capital budgets and facilitates the monthly Finance and Capital Project Advisory committees.

Prior to joining HCCC, she served as Financial Consultant for New Jersey Institute of Technology, Chief Financial Officer for Meadowlands Hospital and Medical Center, System Chief Financial Officer for Saint Peter's Healthcare System, Chief Financial Officer for Saint Barnabas Healthcare System (aka RWJBarnabas Health), and Senior Auditor for Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. Zeichner holds a Bachelor's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New Jersey.

Kearny Bank names director of management facilities

Annandale resident Steve Wharton was recently appointed by Kearny Bank to 2nd VP/Director of Facilities Management. In his role, based at the bank's Springfield location, Wharton focuses on planning, implementation, and oversight of facilities construction, renovation and integration projects, and management of maintenance operations. His responsibilities also include evaluation, planning, and design of energy-savings projects, with a focus on cost-control.

Wharton has overseen a range of Kearny Bank projects, including ground-up construction at several sites, and renovation of multiple branch offices. Prior to joining Kearny Bank, Wharton spent three decades as a construction and facilities management professional.
