North Stonington Hit-and-Run Victim's Family Speaks Out: Report

The family of a Pawcatuck woman, 25, killed in a hit-and-run incident is asking for the public's help finding the suspected vehicle.

NORTH STONINGTON, CT – The family of a 25-year-old Pawcatuck woman killed in a hit-and-run incident in North Stonington on Tuesday is asking for the public's help finding the suspected vehicle, Fox 61 reported.

According to Fox 61, the incident occurred while Krystal Riske and her boyfriend were walking along the westbound shoulder of Route 2. The family said they do not know why the couple was walking in the area, but they remain hopeful the suspected vehicle will be found.

According to the New London Day, the suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored, possibly gray, mid-size SUV. The vehicle's passenger side headlight and quarter panel are damaged, and it is also missing its passenger side mirror, police said.

NBC Connecticut reported state police said Riske was in critical condition with life-threatening injuries Tuesday when she was airlifted to Hartford Hospital, where she died early Wednesday morning.
