LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Kelly Clarkson's daughter steals the spotlight in her "Piece by Piece" music video. The 33-year-old singer released the emotional video, which features her 17-month-old daughter, River Rose Blackstock, on Thursday. Clarkson explained the meaning behind the song in an accompanying post on Facebook.

"I like to think of 'Piece by Piece' as the happy ending to 'Because of You,'" she wrote. "So many of us had to grow up without parents to model a healthy relationship for us, so we often get into dysfunctional relationships because it is what is familiar."
"We all deserve to be truly loved," she asserted. "[This song is] my love letter celebrating and thanking my husband for being a man that knows how to love me and our children without expecting anything in return. Also, this is a promise to my kids that I will never cease to love them."
Clarkson and husband Brandon Blackstock married in October 2013, and welcomed River in June 2014. The singer is now pregnant with her second child, and revealed on Wednesday that she recently sought medical treatment for severe morning sickness.
"Piece by Piece" is the third single to debut from Clarkson's album of the same name. The record topped the Billboard 200 following its release in February, and also includes the singles "Heartbeat Song" and "Invincible."
