AMITY, Ore. – The Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash in Amity Monday.

The sheriff’s office says around 5:30 p.m., a driver in a white or gray pickup truck struck and injured a pedestrian from behind as he walked on 5th Street.

The suspect vehicle is possibly a GMC Sierra or Chevy Silverado from the mid-1990s.

Deputies say the driver of the pickup truck exited his vehicle momentarily. He’s described as a younger male in his mid-teens. He was wearing a black, snapback baseball cap, blue pants, a dark jacket, and black, white, and green Adidas shoes.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information on the driver’s identity should contact Deputy Jody Ingham from the Yamhill County
