Flashback ..... from a previous Tank Storage Asia event

Over 60 exhibitors to participate at Tank Storage Asia

SINGAPORE, September 23, 2015

More than 60 exhibitors have signed up to attend Tank Storage Asia, a leading event for terminal operators, oil companies, traders and regulators in the Asian market, an increase of 75 percent over last year’s event.

The two-day conference will be held on September 29 and 30, and will take place at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Singappore.

The show include an expanded show floor but also more innovation than ever before, with many suppliers using the event to launch new products and services to the bulk liquid storage market, said a statement from the company.

During this year’s event, Dynaglass Reinforced Plastic will introduce its new Vap-O-Loc GRE Internal Floating Roof. It incorporates a hermetically sealed rigid wall that extends around the edges of the sandwich core construction, it said.

Part of this growth is due to Tank Storage Asia’s expanded specialist area for Singapore-based companies, called the Singapore Pavilion.

This dedicated area is organised by the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), who obtained approval from International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, for companies who exhibit with the Singapore Pavilion at the show, to be covered by the International Marketing Activities Programme (iMAP) funding.

The iMAP grants enable eligible Singapore-based companies to receive up to a 50 per cent subsidy, when exhibiting at industry leading events.

More than just an expanding exhibition, Tank Storage Asia 2015 also features a two day conference programme that will provide an opportunity for delegates to gain insights on a local and international scale.

Tushar Tarun Bansal, head of Oil, East of Suez at FGEnergy will be headlining day one of the show, talking about ‘Changes to Trade Flows in Asia’.

He will show how the shale revolution in the US has instigated a shift in global trade flows and why the African market is becoming a key player in the export of light crude, especially within the Asian market.

Tan Wooi Leong, vice president for oil and gas at Jurong Consultants will be presenting ‘Creating the space for the demand for storage in Singapore’.

Despite a consistently strong demand for storage in Singapore, the scarcity of land is restricting new projects. In his talk, Leong will explore the possibility of using underground storage caverns, as they allow for large scale storage, freeing up precious Singapore land.

Nick Powell, StocExpo & Tank Storage Portfolio event manager, said: “With the show opening next week it is great to see everything come together. Boasting such an increase in exhibitor numbers is special, but to do it at such an established event like ours is truly remarkable.”

“The growth we have witnessed this year has allowed us to secure the bigger hall at The Marina Bay Sands for next year, meaning we can keep growing,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
