Between shoots, holidays and promotional appearances, Bollywood's biggest stars can often be seen travelling not just throughout India, but also the globe. It comes as no surprise then that when they're in Mumbai, they like to stick with their favourite hangout spots where they feel most at home. If you're an avid Bollywood follower, you may enjoy keeping up with your favourite celebrities' travel pictures, but if you've always wanted to bump into one of them IRL, it's a good idea to keep an eye on their favourite food spots in the city. Here's a list of the restaurants and clubs you're most likely to spot your favourite actors at.
Otter's Club, Bandra West
One of the city's oldest and most-loved clubs, this one's a favourite with the likes of Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar, who often stop by to squeeze in workouts in the middle of their busy schedules. Every once in a while, you may also spot Singh pausing to greet his fans and fellow members by this Bandra club's gate.
Soho House, Santacruz West
It may have opened its doors just months ago, but Soho House is already a much-frequented spot for Bollywood's biggest stars. It's not just that it's close to some of the industry's biggest celebrities' homes, the 11-storey building includes everything from its own theatre to a rooftop pool, and has become a hub for creative professionals. Who will you spot grabbing dinner here? The list includes everyone from Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra to Arjun Kapoor.
Sequel Bistro & Juice Bar, Bandra West
Known for its squeaky clean, yet scrumptious dishes, Sequel is the ideal spot for anyone who loves living healthy, Bollywood included. Nestled in the middle of Bandra's busy streets, this little cafe's menu is choc-a-block with avocado treats, smoothies and more. If you don't spot Kiara Advani and Malaika Arora here, you're bound to see Athiya Shetty, who often drops by for a snack.
Bayroute, Juhu
Just months after Bayroute opened outlets in Cuffe Parade and Powai, the Mediterranean restaurant found itself a third home in Juhu. A perfect spot for family outings, this one's become a top lunch destination for Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna and their children, along with Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal, Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra.
Kitchen Garden by Suzette, Bandra West
Fuss-free and so healthy: When it comes to post workout meals, Kitchen Garden's green menu is on every Bollywood star's must-try list. This little food spot has become a favourite with everyone from Malaika Arora to Bipasha Basu, and Ishaan Khatter is one star you'll see stopping by on a weekly basis. Given its casual vibe, you'll spot your favourite actors dropping by in some laid-back looks spanning from kurtas to breezy dresses and jumpsuits.
Hakkasan, Bandra West
Known as one of the best Cantonese restaurants in the city, Hakkasan attracts a long list of Bollywood personalities. Sisters Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor are lunch regulars, as are Shilpa Shetty Kundra and husband Raj Kundra. What's more, Hakkasan is also the restaurant where Anushka Sharma and husband Virat Kohli were first seen publicly on a date. Remember the slinky black look she wore for the occasion?
Yauatcha, BKC
One of Mumbai's favourites, Yauatcha is often full of stars during dinner time. Sanjay Dutt and wife Manyata love taking their kids to the Chinese restaurant, and you're likely to bump into Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan here as well. Another celebrity who loves grabbing a bite here: Hrithik Roshan, who was recently spotted at a friends and family lunch with sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan Roshan, along with Sussanne Khan.
Farmers' Cafe, Bandra West
Another hit with the fit and famous, Farmers' Cafe is a quaint little favourite for its home-style dishes, ranging from minced lamb pizzas to whole wheat pancakes. When they're in the mood to treat themselves, Bollywood's most followed stars love to drop by for a meal or a quick cup of coffee. Regulars include Mira Rajput Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor, and Katrina Kaif.
Olive Bar & Kitchen, Khar
With more than a decade behind it, Olive has become an iconic Mumbai spot not just for its European dishes, but for its star-studded client list. Walk through its bold blue doors into those white-washed interiors, and you may just find yourself in the midst of a private Bollywood party. Most recently, Priyanka Chopra was seen celebrating her next film, The Sky is Pink at this restaurant, and other loyalists include Shah Rukh Khan and Sara Ali Khan, among many more.
Bastian, Bandra West
If it's Sunday, it's got to be Bastian! Ever since chef Kelvin Cheung's seafood haven hit Mumbai, it's attracted the attention of food lovers throughout the city. While Bastian is Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani and Shilpa Shetty Kundra's top pick for intimate dinners, it's the industry's newest crew's favourite for weekend brunches. From Ananya Panday and Janhvi Kapoor, you'll bump into just about every new actor in here.
Pali Village Cafe, Bandra West
With its intimate vibe, Pali Village Cafe is a no-brainer for Bollywood stars when it comes to mid-week lunches. From Jacqueline Fernandez and Aditi Rao Hydari to Raveena Tandon, this food spot has seen just about everyone walk through its doors. Back in 2017, we also spotted Kareena Kapoor Khan stopping by for meals during her pregnancy.
