BARTLETT — The fire chief reminds people to clean their chimneys after a fire in one on Thursday night sent an elderly man to Memorial Hospital to be evaluated for smoke inhalation.

Chief Pat Roberts said the department was toned at about 10:20 p.m. for the report of a house at 127 Route 16-A filling with smoke. Roberts described the occupant as an elderly man.
