WARWICK, Ga. (AP) – Authorities say three people were injured when a tractor being driven without lights on a darkened Georgia highway was struck by a semi-truck, then hit again by a pickup truck.

WALB-TV reports the crash happened before dawn Monday on Georgia Highway 300 in rural southwest Georgia.

The Georgia State Patrol said Daniel Harrell of Baconton was driving a 54-year-old tractor in the southbound lane when a semi-truck smashed into the tractor, throwing Harrell about 125 feet (38 meters).

Troopers say the tractor rolled a few times but stayed in the road, where a white Chevy pickup truck slammed into it.

The State Patrol says Harrell was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the semi had moderate injuries, while the pickup driver was treated at the scene.
