After Caitlyn Jenner was spotted at a Calabasas jewelry shop Saturday, in the company of 21-year-old model Sophia Hutchins, the reality TV star’s rep once again issued a statement denying a romance between the two, the Daily Mail said.
Questions about the relationship between Jenner, 68, and Hutchins, a transgender model and Pepperdine University senior, first popped up several weeks ago, Us Weekly reported.
The two were spotted walking on the beach together in late October during a vacation to Los Cabos, Mexico. They also both stayed at Las Ventanas al Paraíso, according to their Instagram posts that week. The posts prompted the first round of denials about a romance between the two, Us Weekly said.
Hutchins transitioned in college and cited Jenner as one of her role models. In December 2016, she told the Pepperdine Graphic, the university’s student newspaper, that Jenner’s transition “made it so much more real for [me], like normal and successful people do this and people are OK when they do it.”
Jenner, the Olympic gold medalist formerly known as Bruce Jenner, came out as a transgender woman in 2015. She subsequently transitioned from male to female in mid-2015 and underwent gender confirmation surgery this past year.
Since then, the thrice-divorced Jenner has said she’s in no rush to get involved in another relationship. The parent-of-six was previously married to designer Chrystie Crownover, actress Linda Thompson and most recently to reality star Kris Jenner.
Perhaps Jenner has parental feelings toward Hutchins, much as she presumably has for Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, her daughters with Kris Jenner. Kendall is 22, and Kylie is 20.
Over the past year, Jenner has become estranged from the Kardashian family, though there is no indication that this distance includes Kendall and Kylie, who has been widely reported to be pregnant.
Regarding reports that Kylie is pregnant, Jenner was said to be “excited” but “worried” about the news because she thinks her youngest daughter is too young to become a parent, Us Weekly reported.
Meanwhile, Kendall and Kylie’s older half-sisters, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe, have expressed strong displeasure with their family’s former patriarch.
The Kardashian sisters said they became fed up with “shady” claims Jenner made in her memoir “Secrets of My Life” about their late father, Robert Kardashian, and his friendship with O.J. Simpson.
Kim Kardashian revealed on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” that she was upset that Jenner wrote that their attorney father knew Simpson was guilty of double murder but defended him anyway in his 1995 trial to get back at their mother Kris Jenner.
Kim Kardashian also explained that she and Jenner have a “strained” relationship but it has nothing to do with Jenner coming out as transgender. Jenner’s coming out was featured on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” in a way that was praised as being respectful and informative on transgender issues.
“I have always had Caitlyn’s back,” Kardashian told her sisters, “but she is a liar. She is not a good person.”
Whatever is going on between Jenner and her young friend, 47 years her junior, the two have been spending a lot of time together, including at Jenner’s four-bedroom hilltop home in Malibu. Hutchins posed for a photo shoot of herself in Calvin Klein underwear.

The Daily Mail said the two women have some notable things in common, including the fact that both are registered Republicans and they share a passion for golfing.
But the association at this point could very well be platonic, the Daily Mail acknowledged.
In her memoir, Jenner confessed that she no longer has “the appetite for (sex).” But she admitted that she was open to the idea of female companionship.
“A future female companion? I think about that,” Jenner wrote. “A future female sexual companion? Not happening, at least for now, and perhaps not ever. A future male sexual companion? I have never had the inclination.”
