DEHRADUN: For the first time in
Uttarakhand, the
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (
RSS) has included Kerala martial art technique (Cheruvadipayattu) in the training curriculum for over 350 participants in the ongoing special camp being held in
Dehradun.
An RSS coordinator said, “It is for the first time that we have added the Kerala martial art in the training because it is very effective and useful for everyone.” The training of the volunteers is residential and the trainers have been brought from different parts of the country.
Dr Jitender Gairola, a PhD in Neuroscience from PGIMER, Chandigarh, said, “I am coming here for the first time for the 20 days long training and I think it is like a meditation camp where everyone is nourishing themselves intellectually and physically.”
