First United Methodist Welcomes New Pastor

First United Methodist Church of Wallingford is honored to introduce to the community our new pastor, The Reverend Steven W. Peiffer.  Pastor Peiffer is the former pastor of Goshen United Methodist Church, Goshen, NY, Coeymans Hollow United Methodist Church, Coeymans Hollow, NY, and Dormansville Methodist Church, Dormansville, NY.  

Pastor Pfeiffer’s education background includes; Bachelors of Arts in Education from Colgate University, Hamilton, NY, Masters of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, and Mediation and Reconciliation Training, from Asbury-Crestwood United Methodist Church. Additionally Pastor Pfeiffer is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church.

Pastor Pfeiffer’s community services included; Chair of Goshen Area interfaith church council, Chaplin to Goshen Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Volunteer Chaplin to Arden Hill Hospital, Goshen NY, Chaplin to Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Department, Coeymans Hollow NY, Volunteer Chaplin to Albany Medical Center, Albany NY.

Pastor Steve and his wife Shelia have four children and two grandchildren; they are expecting a third grandchild anytime now.

FUMC invites the community to stop in on July 7th @ 9:30 am to meet Pastor Steve and worship with us.
