Papa Roach cancel August tour dates after frontman's vocal cord surgery

Papa Roach have cancelled their remaining August tour dates because Jacoby Shaddix needs vocal cord surgery.
The California band shared the news on their Facebook page.
"It is with a heavy heart that we are forced to cancel our upcoming shows in the Oregon, Illinois and Alaska this month.
"This is due to the need for Jacoby Shaddix to have immediate vocal cord surgery and rest," the band said.
"We know some of you had travel plans and we will return next year to perform for you."
The cancelled tour dates mean the band will have to miss three shows planned in August.
The band's frontman then took to social media with a more personal message.
"It means a lot. I will recover. I will sing again. Until then I just want to send my love and gratitude to you all," he said in the post.
Some fans who had booked tickets months in advance and arranged to travel for the remaining gigs shared their disappointment on social media.
"That's why you take care of your voice, your a 20 year vet and should know better," said one fan.
"Wow, another band who decided to not come to Alaska because 'the audience won't be big enough,'" posted another on Facebook.
But the news has been well received by most Papa Roach fans.
"I'm so bummed! Hugs & prayers Jacoby! I was so excited to see you all on Aug 11th," commented one fan.
Jacoby has since thanked fans for their support, sharing photos of him recovering at home with family.
The band are due in the UK in October for a tour after the release of their ninth studio album, Crooked Teeth.
