Kentucky State Police searching for man wanted in shooting in Grethel area

Kentucky state troopers are searching for a man who is wanted in a shooting that sent on person to the hospital.

Toby Akers, 41, of Martin is wanted after troopers said he shot someone during an argument early Saturday morning in Grethel in Floyd County, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police.

The victim was transported to Pikeville Medical Center with potential life-threatening injuries.

Akers is wanted for assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
