UPDATE: Police identify 28-year-old driver killed in overnight Cedar Park crash

A man was found dead and another was hospitalized after a two-car collision in Cedar Park early Friday, Cedar Park police said.

The crash occurred around 1:20 a.m. in the 300 block of East Whitestone Boulevard, police said, when 28-year-old Lawrence Jerell White was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes. White was found dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision was taken to Round Rock Medical Center with serious injuries, police said.

Police are still investigating the incident, which officials said resulted in the city's first traffic death of the year.
