Other Voices returns to its spiritual home in Dingle at the end of the month and the organisers have announced the full line-up of artists taking part in the live TV recordings.

As ever a mix of homegrown and international acts will grace St. James’ Church. British R&B soul-singer Mahalia, Arizona-born Americana performer Courtney Marie Andrews and Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys, South African singer and LGBTQ trailblazer Nakhane, and one of Britain’s most distinctive new voices Jade Bird. Representing Ireland will be David Keenan, Loah  and breakthrough Limerick indie pop band whenyoung.

As well as the main TV event in St. James’ Church a host of other shows will occur across the weekend in Dingle on The Hennessy Music Trail at Other Voices with 40 artists playing across 14 venues. including former Vann Music frontman A. Smyth,  Touts, r.kitt, JyellowL, Tomorrows, Laurie Shaw & The Swamp People, Strength N.I.A., Fears, Orchid Collective, Dréimire, Ceoltóirí Duibhneach, Tógra, Deep Sky Objects, Arvo Party, Galants, Cian O, Girlfriend, Conor Mason, Thumper, Third Smoke, Dowry, Kean Kavanagh, Brand New Friend, Slow Skies and Stevie Darragh (Overhead, the Albatross).

Already confirmed for the IMRO Other Room this year are Kitt Philippa, Columbia Mills, I Have A Tribe, Mango & Mathman and Kojaque.

The final performance slot at the IMRO Other Room will be decided by the public through the IMRO Other Voices Open Call with RTÉ 2FM. Submissions for this are now closed and a shortlist will be announced by RTÉ 2FM’s Tracy Clifford this week.

Music fans are invited to choose their favourite track from the selection published on the RTÉ 2FM website. The artist with the most public support will be deemed Listener’s Choice and will be invited to perform at the IMRO Other Room TV recording on Saturday 1st December, where they will be filmed and broadcast as part of the 2019 Other Voices TV series.

Music Trail West returns as part of Other Voices Dingle 2018 on Sunday December 1st. Attendees will be treated to a day of musical discovery with some of the best up and coming Irish acts performing in breath-taking venues around the Dingle Peninsula. Tickets from Kennedy Coaches are priced €25 and include return bus, plus lunch at the Blasket Island Centre. The bus will depart Dingle at midday and return at 6pm. Other Voices TV series will air on RTÉ in early 2019, and digitally around the world. Tickets for the St. James’ Church TV recordings will only be available through competitions in local and national media, event partner outlets and through Other Voices social media. A day by day schedule of Church acts will be announced the week of the Festival. All ticket competitions will be pre-announced on www.othervoices.ie and Other Voices social media channels on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
