If you ask Sheffield whether a given bigtime program has offered him, chances are the response is going to not only be "yes," but also, "months ago." That... puts Virginia Tech behind, especially when you consider that he's from coastal Georgia, not the Atlanta area that the Hokies have put so much effort into. However, he is a member of the True 19 training group that VT has put plenty of effort into recruiting (including becoming the first offer for several of its members), so a Summer visit remains a possibility, even if pulling him away from SEC and national powers is a very tall task.
