Warren Police are trying to find the customer who got into a fight with a clerk at the 7-11 located at 27010 Dequindre early Friday morning.

Investigators originally thought the fight at 2:37 a.m. was the result of an assault during a strong-arm robbery of the convenience store.

But after further investigation, police say it appears the customer and clerk were arguing over five cents.

Warren Police say the customer only wanted to pay $1 instead of the $1.05 the clerk told him he owed for his purchase.

The customer reportedly threw some candy and a credit card scanner. The 56-year-old clerk then grabbed a utensil from the grill area, walked around the counter, and the two began to fight. We're told the clerk was punched several times.

At some point, the customer left and got into the passenger side of a silver Cadillac CTS with tinted windows.

Investigators say it's too soon to tell if either man will face any charges.
