Broken Windshield, Tinted Windows Lead To Pot Charge

A traffic stop led to the charge.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Mohegan Lake man was arrested for pot possession after a traffic stop. Yorktown Police said Alex Boga, 25, of Briarhill Street in Mohegan Lake, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.

Around 3:20 p.m. Feb. 13, a vehicle was spotted with a cracked windshield and illegal tinted windows, police said.

After an investigation, police determined Boga, the driver, had in excess of 25 grams of marijuana.

He was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

Boga was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court March 15.
