Add House Speaker John Boehner to the long list of conservatives that remain uninspired by presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney

At a fundraising event in Wheeling, W. Va., on June 30, a woman asked Boehner during a question-and-answer session if he could "make me love Mitt Romney?" Roll Call reported.

"No," Boehner said. "Listen, we’re just politicians. I wasn’t elected to play God. The American people probably aren’t going to fall in love with Mitt Romney."

Aside from Romney's "friends, relatives and fellow Mormons," Boehner went on to explain that voters will be motivated to "vote against" Obama instead.

"I’ll tell you this: 95 percent of the people that show up to vote in November are going to show up in that voting booth, and they are going to vote for or against Barack Obama," Boehner said.

Boehner is not the only prominent Republican to criticize Romney of late.

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels criticized Romney's campaign as too focused on wealthy donors and not enough on average voters. And Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker broke with Romney's comments about cutting "firefighters, policemen and teachers" following the Wisconsin recall election.
