It’s official! Grammy Award–winning singer Miguel Pimentel and model Nazanin “Naz” Mandi married over the weekend in an outdoor ceremony at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in the Santa Susana Mountains outside of Los Angeles. The two initially met on the set of Miguel’s very first music video. “I interviewed Miguel for a behind-the-scenes DVD he was putting out at the time,” Naz remembers. She asked him: “All the ladies want to know, do you have a girlfriend?” He smiled and said, “No, but I’m looking for one.”
They had been dating for 10 years when he proposed in the Dominican Republic on New Year’s Eve of 2015. “I wanted a very intimate proposal, and I got just that . . . it was perfection,” Naz admits.
“It always felt very natural—we always felt like we were very connected from the beginning,” Miguel adds. When it came time to make arrangements, the couple enlisted the help of wedding planner Myra Harbour. The final weeks leading up to their big day were a whirlwind of appointments and meetings: One minute, they were approving florals and #sweatingforthewedding with couple’s workout sessions with their personal trainer, Torri Shack; the next, they were finalizing the wedding band and cake selections, trying on tuxedos, and having that last dress fitting at Monique Lhuillier. “I always knew I wanted Monique Lhuillier to design my wedding dress for the ceremony,” Naz says. “Something formfitting with lace and a long train. My veil was a Spanish-style mantilla.”
Her dream became a reality; Naz looked like a princess bride when she walked down the aisle. And amid the whirlwind of wedding prep, the bride-to-be still found some time to reflect on the excitement of the day. See how the wedding weekend unfolded, above.
