Fourth of July celebrations will look different this year for cities along the I-35 corridor due to increasing cases of COVID-19 in area. Here are some holiday plans in Buda, Kyle and San Marcos.

Red, White and Buda

The city of Buda will be celebrating July 4th with a few tweaks this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Red, White and Buda will not have a morning parade or other activities; instead, there will be two firework shows that will be launched from Buda Sportsplex and the City Park between 9:15-9:30 p.m, according to a press release by the city.

In order to ensure safety and slow the spread of the coronavirus outbreak, no parking spaces will be available at Buda Sportsplex or the City Park. Instead, the city encourages residents to watch the fireworks from home or a location where social distancing is possible.
