FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield’s youngest Instagram influencer, The Shirley Temple King, has launched a line of the sweet and bubbly mocktails that meet his discerning standards.

The King, also known as Leo Kelly, received national attention in 2020, when he was 6 years old, by reviewing Shirley Temples on his Instagram account, which has over 200,000 followers. Kelly partnered with Dallas-based Main Event Entertainment on his signature line, which became available Tuesday at Main Event locations nationwide.

“It’s a dream come true to create my own unique line of Shirley Temples,” Kelly said in a news release from Main Event. “I cannot wait for kids and families across the country to enjoy all of them.”

Kelly’s line with Main Event features three drinks:

  • The Classic Shirley: A blue, sugary rim, cherries, ginger ale and Rose's grenadine;
  • The Cotton Candy Shirley: The Classic Shirley with a choice of pink or blue cotton candy on top;
  • The Floaty Shirley: A scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the classic recipe.

Each drink is garnished with a gummy cherry, unicorn candy bacon, and three maraschino cherries. Guests can also add a candy sucker straw. The Shirleys start at $2.99.

Kelly began reviewing Shirley Temples in 2019 and appeared on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” in early 2020. His recent reviews include Dockside Brewery in Milford and The Back End in New Canaan.

"When we saw Leo's reviews for the first time, we knew we had to bring his enthusiasm and expertise into the development of our first-ever line of Shirley Temples," Sarah Beddoe, chief brand officer at Main Event, said in the news release.

Main Event has 44 locations in 17 states, although there are none in Connecticut. Its family-friendly entertainment centers include bowling, laser tag, billiards, arcade games and more.
