Jeffrey Hartwell Palmer

Jeffrey (Jeff) Hartwell Palmer, age 71, of Duluth, MN and Sun City West, AZ, died October 30, 2018 after battling pulmonary fibrosis for several years. He was born August 20, 1947, to the late Benjamin Orlo Palmer and Mary Edith Palmer in Minneapolis, MN. He married Ann Ketcham Palmer on June 14, 1969 in Minneapolis, MN.

Jeff worked at the Duluth Area Family YMCA (Chief Executive Officer), YMCA Camp Miller (Director), and Day Camp Kitchigami (Director) between the years of 1980 - 2011. Jeff served many while working at the YMCA. Since retirement, he continued on the Harbortown Rotary Club, as a trustee on the Heritage Fund Board, on the Camp Miller Advisory Council, and Wednesday Nighters Car Club.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Ketcham Palmer, daughter, Jessica Palmer Pederson (John), son, Benjamin Palmer (Michelle), brothers David Palmer, Jim Palmer, and grandchildren Claire and Lars Pederson and Chloe and Lilly Palmer.

Jeff was a kind hearted soul who touched many lives. He will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Duluth, MN. Coffee and fellowship to follow service.
