Anthony Scaramucci is back in the news again for some more reportedly colorful behavior.
In a move that shows how nasty his divorce is getting, he is demanding a paternity test because he doesn’t believe the son whose birth he missed during his brief White House tenure is his, Page Six is reporting.
Meanwhile, romance rumors between the short-lived White House communications director and Fox News star Kimberly Guilfoyle are heating up again, with Scaramucci and the former First Lady of San Francisco being spotted together in Rome, Italy over the weekend, the Mirror reported. They both attended Celebrity Fight Night, which benefits The Andrea Bocelli Foundation and The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center. Photographs were taken of them at the rooftop party on September 10.
The two have long and consistently insisted that they are just friends, but more on the romance rumors in a bit.
With regard to Scaramucci’s divorce, a source has told Page Six that the very short-lived White House communications director believes his estranged wife Deidre Ball could have gotten pregnant with someone else.
Ball, in turn, is horrified by the claim, insists the child is Scaramucci’s and has hired top Manhattan attorneys to push for generous child support.
A source told Page Six: “He is actually contesting the paternity of the newborn, which is the same as dropping a hand grenade into any divorce action and possible amicable resolution, and Deidre strongly rejects his claim.”
“You don’t make that sort of claim unless you are nuts,” the source said. “He will be easily proven wrong.”
The baby was born July 24, a few days into Scaramucci’s historically brief and tumultuous tenure in President Donald Trump’s White House.
Ball gave birth while Scaramucci, known as the Mooch, was with Trump in West Virginia, when the president infamously talked to a crowd of 40,000 Boy Scouts about wild yacht parties and exhorted the boys to boo Barack Obama.
A week later, Scaramucci was forced out of his job after 10 days, following a profanity-laced rant to a New Yorker reporter about Reince Priebus and Steve Bannon.
Amid all this turmoil, news surfaced that Ball, who is supposedly no fan of Trump, had become fed up with Scaramucci’s “naked political ambition” and filed for divorce on July 6. So eager was she to get out of the marriage that she made this move when she was nine months pregnant.
Ball had worked for SkyBridge Capital, the firm that Wall Street hedge fund manager Scaramucci founded in 2005 and sold in order to work for Trump.
“Deidre has left him and has filed for divorce,” a source told Page Six at the time. “She liked the nice Wall Street life and their home on Long Island, not the insane world of D.C. She is tired of his naked ambition, which is so enormous that it left her at her wits’ end. She has left him even though they have two children together.”
The two also are parents of 4-year-old son Nicholas, and Scaramucci has two older children from a previous marriage.
Scaramucci and Ball’s second son, James, was born two weeks early on July 24 and spent a few days in the neonatal unit at Lenox Hill Hospital.
But Scaramucci reportedly didn’t go to see him until six days after his birth, instead sending a text to Ball in the hospital saying, “Congratulations, I’ll pray for our child.”
Scaramucci’s attorney didn’t return multiple calls from Page Six seeking comment. His representative said in a statement: “Mr. Scaramucci looks forward to resolving this case through appropriate legal channels with her chosen legal counsel.”
He declined to comment on the paternity issue.
As for Scaramucci’s rumored romance with Guilfoyle, after the sighting in Rome, Italy, they were spotted “lurking in the same corner” at a swanky party Tuesday night, refusing to be photographed together, Page Six said.
Scaramucci and “The Five” star strongly denied they were an item earlier this month after another website reported said that they had gone “co-op shopping” together before his divorce.
A source close to Guilfoyle told People magazine: “They share the same real estate agent in New York and she lives in The Beresford and he was looking in The Beresford.”
People’s source added, “I can assure you there is no love affair going on, there’s never been anything physical between those two, they are fond of each other.”
This story was updated to include reference to Anthony Scaramucci and Kimberly Guilfloyle attending the celebrity boxing matching in Rome, Italy.
