The competition between Apple's and Google's mobile operating systems continues, and it’s difficult to determine which OS is more popular or which has the better functionality. While iOS definitely comes with some essential advantages, Android is more flexible and allows a plethora of tweaks.

Android enjoys increased popularity among multiple smartphone manufacturers while iOS is only found on Apple products. However, Apple does have a large and strong customer base, just enough to split smartphone users into two main categories: those who use iPhones and those who have Android phones.

Many users migrate from Android to iOS and vice-versa, a process that can be quite confusing to some, considering that the two operating systems do have some main differences, at least when it comes to the UI. Apple welcomes new users with a tutorial filled with tips when booting an iPhone and even after a while of continuous use.

Google’s Tips and Tricks section on Android.com is filled with useful information

Google has thought of a way to make it easier for users to understand and find their way in an Android smartphone. Google launched a new section in its Android.com website, Tips and Tricks. As the name suggests, the section is filled with all sorts of instructions and tools to make it easier for users to migrate from iOS to Android and to help long-time Android users find new things that they can do with their handsets.

The section displays all kinds of tips in the form of cards, users simply need to click on one and get instructions. There are tips on how to back up and sync photos, use battery saver mode to make the battery last longer, or how to change the wallpaper.

In addition, tips show users how to set up voice search, get weather notifications, lock and locate the phone using Android Device Manager or stream music from the Google Play Music app. There are plenty of categories that users can check out, including privacy, voice, battery, camera, and many more.
