Kara Marni No Ordinary Love

Remember how, a few weeks back, we introduced you to our new favourite Kara Marni and her cover of Lauryn Hill and D'Angelo's Nothing Even Matters? Well she's back with a brand new tune and we'd bet our last Double Stuff Oreo you're gonna be obsessed.

Fresh from tour, Kara's literally blessed our earholes with her own reworking of Sade's 1992 classic No Ordinary Love; bringing the track stright into 2017 with some well edgy production and that voice.

Seriously, though. THE VOICE. The audible equivalent of stroking a puppy's freshly-groomed fur. A fancy chocolate fondue. The smoothness of an untouched jar of Nutella before you stick the knife in.

You get the picture.

While Nothing Even Matters was a properly-stripped-back jazz cafe-style jam, No Ordinary Love's got some intricate little sparkles (you can tell we're music journalists...) in the production courtesy of WiDE AWAKE. It somehow feels simultaneously really current yet kinda nostalgic and '90s, if that makes any sense at all.

Wanna hear it? Head over to Spotify where it's on this week's snazzy New Music Friday playlist. Hoorah.

TOO GOOD.
